Burning food is a great way to find out and illustrate how
much energy it contains. Different food types contain different amounts of
energy. Above is what happens when you burn very sugary meringue. A small flame.

The flame is huge, and when you look on an infrared camera, you can see the
flame got up to over 550o Celsius.
